2014 Annual Report

A list of all recorded centuries is in the document library to the left of this sections which also contains copies of our annual reports from 2009 and our club Development Plan 2015-2019

Our new website can be found here: http://ashleycc.co.uk
This site has a history section and we are always adding old scorecards and match reports. If you have any recollections of your time at Ashley please get in touch.

We start the 2015 with a record number of teams turning out; on Saturdays we have our 1st and 2nd XIs in the TACS Partnership Cheshire Cricket League and an Academy side in the Vivio Cheshire County Cricket League who play home games at Timperley Sports Club. On Sundays we have a 3rd and 4th XI who play in the Vivio CCCL as well as an Over 40s team. Our junior section has in excess of 100 boys and girls with sides at under 7 and Under 9 playing softball pairs cricket. We have started an Under 10s team in the South Manchester Junior cricket League to give players the chance to play hard ball cricket for the first time. Further sides at Under 11, 13 and 15 complete the junior section. We are keen to start a girls team and hope to arrange friendlies this year for girls at Under 9 & Under 13.

In 2013 we celebrated 125 years of cricket at Ashley with a dinner attended by 111 players, supporters, past players and parents at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys in October last year and we hope to hold an annual dinner there each year.

Facilities

We have invested heavily in the club and the playing surface in recent years thanks to the hard work of our fundraising efforts and the terrific support from many grant givers and donors including ECB, Sport England, Local Network Fund, Cheshire East, Biffaward, Lord's Taverners, Awards for All, Manchester Airport Community Fund, Cheshire Rural Trust and MBNA.

We have a 3 lane artificial practice net, new flooring in the home and away dressing rooms, 4 new sightscreens, mobile covers, 3 new grass pitches, new drainage, a brick scorebox and several coaching initiatives that have seen 60 of our junior players receive free coaching at the Lancashire Indoor School.
